Websites & App Design

Hi, I'm Norman.
I build websites.

When I'm not chasing my kids, I'm probably watching a show or playing a game. Let's build something cool together.

A few things I've built.

A mix of web platforms and app design work: research, product design and the brand around it.

About

I design and build things for the web and app store, and I try to make the process as painless for the people I work with.

I got into design through a fascination with how people think and interact with technology. With a background in psychology, I found my way into UX and product design, where I could combine human behavior, creativity, and technology to build things people actually enjoy using.

I've been doing this a while now, so I've racked up a few skills:

  • Figma
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Every Figma Predecessor
  • UX Design
  • Design Systems
  • UGC
  • Webflow
  • WordPress
  • Elementor
  • TypeScript
  • GitHub
  • VS Code
  • Claude Code
  • Codex

Usually one snack request away from an interruption. I have kids.

Slowly working through a backlog of games I'll never finish.

Always mid-way through a show I'll recommend whether you ask or not.

Best reached before noon, realistically.

Services

What I can help with.

01

Web Design & Build

From a one-page site to something more involved, designed and built to work properly, not just look good in a mockup.

02

App Design

Interfaces for mobile and web apps that people can actually figure out without a tutorial.

03

Ongoing Support

Sites and apps need upkeep. Happy to stick around after launch instead of disappearing.

How it works

Four steps, no mystery.

01

Discover

A conversation about what you're actually trying to solve, before anything gets designed.

02

Design

Mockups you can react to, revised until they're right, not just approved out of fatigue.

03

Build

The design gets built for real, and fast. You'll see progress along the way, not only at the end.

04

Launch

It goes live, and I stick around to make sure it actually works once real people show up.

FAQ

Questions people usually ask.

What do you do?

I design and build websites and apps. That covers UX research, product design, design systems, interaction design and the brand around them. Some projects are a single marketing site; others are a full product interface with a design system behind it.

Where are you based?

Utah. I work remotely with clients anywhere, and most projects run entirely over video calls and shared files.

What does the process look like?

Four steps. Discover is a conversation about what you're trying to solve, before anything gets designed. Design is mockups you can react to, revised until they're right. Build is where it gets made for real, with progress you can see along the way. Launch is when it goes live, and I stick around to make sure it works once real people show up.

What does a project cost?

It depends on scope. A one-page site and a multi-screen app are very different pieces of work. The free consult call is where we figure out what you actually need, and you get a fixed number before anything starts.

Do you work with clients outside Utah?

Yes. Location has never been the deciding factor. Clear communication and a shared understanding of the problem matter far more.

Do you help after launch?

Yes. Sites and apps need upkeep, and I stay available for changes, fixes and new features rather than disappearing at handoff.

What tools do you work in?

Figma for design and design systems, plus Webflow, WordPress and Elementor for sites, and TypeScript, GitHub and VS Code when a build needs real code.
